Biography
Brad was born in Anderson, Indiana, and graduated from Purdue with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Brad and Melanie spent the first thirteen years of their marriage living in the Berkshires in western Massachusettes, where The Bee Charmer takes place. The Berkshires were a wonderful touristy place to live, and they became totally immersed in theater, Tanglewood, and fine restaurants. Unfortunately, they didn't like to ski and now live near Princeton, New Jersey, where Brad has retired to his writing, and Melanie is still fighting it out in the trenches. They owned a boat for twenty-one years and only sold it because it was too expensive for retirees. They spent every weekend living on the boat and became hooked on bird watching and photographing aquatic birds. They still enjoy photography and entertaining Bentley, their Portuguese Water Dog. Brad is a student of jazz, and every week he tries to find time to study music.
